IN 2025, I’M RUNNING WITH A CHARITY BIB FOR PEOPLE IN PRECARIOUS SITUATIONS.
You are invited to take up a double dare, for both sporting and solidarity. By Choosing a Charity bib, you join one of the most well-known Ultra- Trail in the world, while helping more than 4 million people, of whom are 300, 000 and 2,800 homeless people who are facing poor housing in France.
Your donations will enable us to support our fight against poor housing, poverty and social exclusion to fund about 900 projects yearly, to ensure decent living for everyone. Let’s work together for a fairer world! 100% of your donation will be transferred to the Foundation to fund our action.
Your support enables the Abbé Pierre Foundation to do the following :
To receive the needy in our day care centers commonly known as “Boutiques Solidarité”.
To get the homeless off the streets and accommodate them in our “Pensions de Famille” (a permanent social housing),
To defend people threatened with eviction,
To fund housing-related projects,
To call out public authorities about housing policies
To raise awareness among the highest number of people about poor housing issues.
The Foundation’s resources are made of 97% of people’s generosity and patronage. We can only take action with the help of our donors! Thanks to our givers, we can cater for the needs of the homeless: build new housing, renovate old housing, slummy and unoccupied housing, and promote public authorities’ awareness concerning the situation of the ill-housed. Your support is invaluable! Thank you for giving us the means to act!
By taking a solidarity bib :
- I offer 10 nights' hotel accommodation with breakfast to a homeless family, as well as support for the children's schooling.
- I'll provide accommodation for an isolated young person for 1.5 months, as well as personalized support for his professional project.
- I help finance 100 meals for needy families”.
THE FOUNDATION CHANGES ITS NAME, NOT ITS FIGHT!
The seriousness of the accusations levelled against our founder led us to make the difficult choice of taking steps to change our name. Without denying Abbé Pierre's role in the fight against poverty, but out of respect for the women who have spoken out, we now wish to continue his fight with a new name for the Foundation. As a public foundation, this change will take some time due to legal and administrative obligations. Until then, nothing changes for your donations. Together, let's continue our fight against inadequate housing!
ZOOM IN ON THE 2024 MONT-BLANC HOKA UTMB!
In 2024 for the first time, the Foundation had the opportunity to take part in the UTMB owing to its 20 solidarity trail runners who outperformed all through the race and were able to collect €40,490 in aid of our action for the needy!
