SOLD OUT MCC 2025: An incredible enthusiasm!
The MCC is not just another race; since its creation, it has celebrated the dedication of volunteers, partners, journalists, and local residents who make the HOKA UTMB Mont-Blanc a truly unique event.
In recent years, the growing excitement around the race has made bibs increasingly difficult to secure for the residents of the 21 organizing municipalities of the HOKA UTMB Mont-Blanc – those who are at the heart of the event every year.
To address this situation and honor their commitment, we decided to grant them a 24-hour priority registration window for the 2025 edition.
The response was immediate: 80% of the bibs available to the general public, outside of those reserved for volunteers and partners, were claimed during this first day. During the second registration window at 3 PM today, the remaining bibs were snapped up in record time.
👉 Registrations for the MCC 2025 are now full. Thank you for your exceptional enthusiasm and your understanding of these changes, designed to strengthen the bond between this unique event and the communities that make it possible. Together, we continue to uphold the trail spirit!
👉 In total, 50% of the MCC bibs were allocated to local runners. Another 37% were reserved for volunteers, and 13% for partners (guests, brands, and media).
COMING TOGETHER AROUND A COMMON PASSION
An adventure from Switzerland to France on a 40km course with 2300m of elevation gain. This race aims to bring teams together and share the passion of trail running. This is why UTMB volunteers, partners and locals of the Mont-Blanc valley have priority in registering for this race. It takes place entirely during the day and allows volunteers and partners the UTMB experience while still being able to honor their commitment to their team the rest of the week.
On a more accessible distance, it gives runners a feel for the ambiance of at the height of the world's trail running scene, with same quality standards as the other UTMB races. From the start line in Martigny-Combe, you will climb to the Col de la Forclaz before pushing yourself to reach the emblematic Col de Balme. Crossing through some of the most beautiful hamlets of the upper Chamonix valley, you will descend towards the mythic finish line in the heart of the village.
