A partnership for access to drinking water.

LIZIBA, in Lingala – one of the 4 national languages of the DR Congo – means SOURCE. This is the name of our socio-economic partnership aiming to provide access to drinking water for all in the rural region of Bulape (Kasai - 40,000 inhabitants). LIZIBA is also the name of our association recognized by the state.

OUR GOAL : WATER

Our goal is to provide easy access to drinking water to the population of the region. Water exists in abundance, but you have to fetch it very far, from the natural sources, on the outskirts of the city and sometimes 6 km far! Imagine what it means to carry 25 liters of water on your head several times a day for the needs of your family… This should no longer exist in the 21st century.

OUR PROJECT IS A HUMAN AS WELL AS A TECHNICAL CHALLENGE.

In recent years we had to face major difficulties, particularly on the technical and logistical levels. But we were not discouraged: for example, we greatly increased the skills of our partners in terms of drilling technology and photovoltaic installation.

YOUR PRECIOUS HELP

Currently, we are looking for a well-equipped and experienced company that is able to support the project and carry out the work. Dear runners, we would be delighted to have your support. The budget for our project is around 35,000 USD. This includes drilling works, the construction of a water tower and the gravity supply of drinking water in four areas of the city where standpipes will be installed. There agents will serve the population.
