"Each year, the unveiling of the official HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc visual is a special moment. More than just an image, it embodies the message we want to carry into the year ahead - the message that will bring us together throughout the months to come. It is therefore with great pride that we reveal the visual for the 2026 edition today.
When we came together at the end of last year to reflect on the message we wanted to share, one conviction united us all - a vision that we felt needed to stand out above all others: trail running brings people together. This sport, our sport, whether practiced with or without a race bib, connects us. Throughout the year, and even more so during HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc week.
It brings all of us together, transcending levels, genders, and backgrounds. It creates emotion, connection, and a sense of belonging. Everyone feels part of it - in the Mont-Blanc Valley as a runner, volunteer, elite athlete, supporter, resident, service provider, or UTMB Group employee, and beyond the valley as a passionate member of the trail running community.
Trail running brings so much positivity and emotion to individuals, communities, and society as a whole. That is what we wanted to express.
We therefore chose a visual that embodies exactly that. No single face. No lone hero. Instead, a collective portrait that challenges convention: fragments of many runners brought together at the intersection of art and photography, because we believe the collective matters more than the individual. The goal was simple: for everyone to see themselves in it.
And always in the background, the mountains. The peaks of the Mont-Blanc massif, the alpine meadows, and the ridgelines that emerge behind the runners - the place where it all comes to life, between France, Italy, and Switzerland.
In a time when so many things divide us, we wanted to highlight what trail running does best: bring people together. This visual embodies that belief. Everyone can see themselves in it, and that is exactly what we hoped to achieve.
