As global citizens, we must collectively and individually act against global warming and for the preservation of biodiversity.
The Mont-Blanc region is a fragile natural treasure that requires our utmost attention. To contribute to its protection, we have a duty to minimize our impact, and we're counting on everyone's commitment.
Transport accounts for over 80% of the HOKA UTMB Mont-Blanc’s carbon footprint so to preserve our environment and minimize our greenhouse gas emissions as much as possible, we are proposing a global mobility plan comprising 3 main areas :
- How to get to the event.
- How to get around during your stay in the Mont-Blanc region.
- How to get around during the races.
This mobility plan is made possible by our partners Dacia, ATMB, the Communauté de commune de Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and Transdev.
The UTMB Mobility scheme is divided into 3 parts:
How to get to the event
Runners, supporters and spectators, all the information you need to attend the event is here.
How to get around during your stay (excluding races)
Once I'm in the Mont-Blanc region, how do I get around ?
Getting around during races
Runners: how to get to the start of the race.
Crews: how to get to the start of the race and follow your runner.
La Région Auvergne Rhône Alpes, mobility partner of HOKA UTMB Mont-Blanc :
Every day, over 220,000 passengers travel throughout the region on TER trains and buses. The Region supports all daily journeys, with almost 1,500 daily trains forming the network, 326 inter-urban and school transport buses and on-demand local transport services.
With the Oùra app, it is actively improving passenger service and promoting intermodal travel, through online sales for 21 networks and high-performance route planning in connection with 56 partner networks. It also provides a car-sharing service and bike lockers in train stations.
The Region currently devotes 1/3 of its budget – almost 1.3 billion Euros/year – to the TER trains and inter-urban and school transport.
