Banque Alimentaire de Haute-Savoie

The 1901 Food Aid Association, the Banque Alimentaire de Haute-Savoie, has been active since 1995 in the department. Every year, we help 25,000 people by distributing more than 1,500 tonnes of food. We collaborate with 83 partner associations which are responsible for the distribution of these food products. To carry out this mission, we have 10 refrigerated trucks and work with 60 large and medium-sized stores to collect unsold goods. Our commitment is also manifested through two major collections per year: the first in June, where we collect around 70 tonnes, and the second in November, which is our flagship collection with 300 tonnes of food. For the latter, we are mobilizing nearly 3,000 volunteers, demonstrating the solidarity and commitment of our community. Every day, 40 people are present in our warehouse to respond to requests from partner associations, thus guaranteeing efficient and rapid distribution of food products to people in need.

This initiative, UTMB bibs can help diversify sources of financing and guarantee that the Food Bank can continue to provide fresh products to beneficiaries in addition to collections, these donations will allow purchases of products that we lack.
