PROJECT NEPAL IS BACK FOR 2024!
The HOKA UTMB Mont-Blanc and the Friends of the UTMB Mont-Blanc Solidarity Commission are pleased to announce that the Nepal Project is returning for the third consecutive year during the week of the event. Project Nepal is an operation created in 2022 and led by Sylvie Barquant, president of the Friends of the UTMB Mont-Blanc solidarity committee, which aims to facilitate access to trail running equipment for Nepalese runners. Thanks to the cooperation with Ram Puri, a Nepalese guide and runner, the committee will collect the equipment that you no longer need on withdrawal of your race bib. Do you have equipment you really don't need? A pair of shoes, a headlamp or a trail bag that you no longer use and are in the back of the cupboard can make a huge difference. Everything you donate will be sent to Nepal and distributed to the local population.

What is needed for the 2024 campaign
To best meet the needs of the Nepalese athletes, here is the equipment we would love to collect. All donations must be handed in at the ‘second-hand trail running equipment’ stand when you pick up your race bib.
All equipment must be in good condition!

- Technical tee-shirts 👕

Your donations will help the development of trail running in Nepal, a country that has produced true champions as Dawa Sherpa and Sange Sherpa, in addition to champion Sunmaya Budha, runner-up at the CCC 2022.
Results of the 2024 edition
Thanks to your generosity and that of equipment manufacturers, the project grows from strength to strength! In 2024, the association collected a great deal of trail running equipment, including :
o Race bags: 28
o Pairs of shoes: 145
o Waterproof pants: 17
o Waterproof jackets: 15
The project is a real source of pride for the solidarity committee. It's all thanks to you, and we thank you!

No, there are currently no plans to deliver donatations. We are considering the possibility of allowing you to make your donations from remote. However, do not hesitate to give your items for donation to someone you know who is participating in the event. Otherwise, it's all out of date. See you next year.
